WIP: Kan-U Gundam Part 2
I'm about halfway done through this kit. Like I stated in the other WIP, this kit was where I made a lot of experimentations, with sanding, primer, panel line washing and what not. I've learned a few more things as I paint: that glossy paint really sucks for handpainting. I tried Tamiya green acrylic which is really glossy, and the subsequent layers just would not stick properly, and I had to use my Daler-Rowney acrylics instead. The halberd or whatever it is is still in bad shape, just sanded up whatever I could salvage and see how it goes. I may have to get a different kit just for the freaking weapon.
Oh hey look! Another impulse buy!

WIP: Kan-U Gundam
Well most of my modelling technique experiments on the Kan-U Gundam worked pretty well. The primer (Mr Surfacer) worked pretty well but I found myself having to scribe the panel lines again after priming. This time, I used an enamel wash for the panel lines instead of gundam marker and it looks really good.
Other experiments, however, didn't turn out so good...

My Collection
So here's my collection. Most of it are SD kits, but I'm a huge mecha fan in general and the Go Nagai mechs above hold a special place in my collection. The Mazingers and Getter Robo OVA version. I wanted the Shin version but have yet to find one suitable for display.

Recently Bandai announced the Sangokuden Brave Battle Warriors Blu-Ray Disc set which came with Shin Chou-Sen Qubeley, one of the more important kits which the original series missed out. So what else did Bandai miss out? Let's take a look...
